Career Development Grant Initiative Application

During the Spring 2019 semester the Career Development Center will provide grants which support faculty-driven activities directly involving students and their career planning and/or career readiness. Broadly, activities related to career planning will further students’ understanding of career possibilities, including particular career paths and graduate and professional study.

Faculty are invited to apply now for grants to be used during the spring semester. Requests for funds should include a detailed budget and reflect SUNY Plattsburgh’s purchasing guidelines as outlined on this form.

Applications are due by January 11, 2019. A committee consisting of students and members of the Career Development staff will review grant requests. Decisions will be communicated by January 18, 2019.

Purchasing Policies

Payments will not be processed without supporting documentation (i.e. invoices, original itemized receipts, fliers, list of attendees). When preparing NYS travel vouchers, social security numbers are required for non-employees.
Grants used to offset travel and lodging expenses will be subject to NYS rates. Grants used to offset meal expenses cannot include the purchase of alcohol.
If a rental car is reserved and set up with Enterprise as a direct bill, which is paid through a purchase order, insurance for the traveler is included in the rental agreement. However, if the car is reserved using a NET card (non-employee travel), insurance is NOT included. Please make the traveler aware of this information and given the option to elect the additional coverage at the time of rental.
